This version of the NICMIB is annotated to provide additional information about the objects
and variable values. As an explanation for some of the items, the NICMIB is accessing
structure already accessed by proprietary programs running under various environments. It
is anticipated that these programs and the MIB approach must co-exist for some period.
Therefore the existing structure was retained rather than optimizing it for MIB
compatibility. Objects which are not applicable to the device being queried are responded
back with 'N/A'. Any such object will not accept a write access.
