The following steps show you how to
tune in to FM and AM radio broadcasts
using the automatic and manual
tuning functions. Once you are tuned
to a station you can memorize the
frequency for recall later—see More
tuner features on page 21 for how to
do this.
Make sure you have hooked up the AM
FM / AM
and FM antennas. If you haven't, see

Press repeatedly to switch between FM
and AM bands.

There are two ways to do this:

To search for stations in the currently
selected band, press and hold either the
∞ or 5 button for about a second. The
system will start searching for the next
station, stopping when it has found
one. Repeat this step to search for other
stations. Press 7 at anytime to stop the
search.

To change the frequency one step at a
time, press the ∞/5 buttons.

If you're listening to a stereo FM
broadcast, but find that there is a lot of
noise because of a weak signal, try
switching to mono.
Press repeatedly to switch between FM
and AM bands.
