    IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING. SELF-CLEANING OVEN SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING (Some models) The self-cleaning feature operates the oven at temperatures high enough to burn away food soils in the oven. Follow these instructions for safe operation. ■ Before operating the self-clean cycle, remove pans, shiny metal oven racks and other utensils from the oven.

Temperature Limiter on Radiant Glass Cooktops Every radiant surface unit has a temperature limiter. The temperature limiter protects the glass cooktop from getting too hot. Models with a bridge burner only.

    The following information will help you choose cookware which will give good performance on glass cooktops. Home Canning Tips Be sure the canner is centered over the surface unit. Make sure the canner is flat on the bottom. To prevent burns from steam or heat, use caution when canning.

    Selecting types of cookware for radiant glass cooktop models. The following information will help you choose cookware which will give good performance on glass cooktops.     To Turn Off the Clock Display If you have several clocks in your kitchen, you may wish to turn off the time of day clock display on your range. To Set the Timer The timer does not control oven operations.

    Using the timed baking feature. Do not lock the oven door with the latch during timed cooking. The latch is used for self-cleaning only. NOTE: Foods that spoil easily—such as milk, eggs, fish, stuffings, poultry and pork—should not be allowed to sit for more than 1 hour before or after cooking.

    To save energy, you can turn off the time of day clock and the display when the range is not in use. Your new touch pad control has additional features that you may choose to use. The following are the features and how you may activate them.

    Using the Sabbath feature. (Designed for use on the Jewish Sabbath and Holidays) The Sabbath feature can be used for baking only. It cannot be used for broiling, self-cleaning, convection baking, steam cleaning or delay start cooking. NOTE: The oven light comes on automatically (on some models) when the door is opened and goes off when the door is closed. The bulb may be removed.
