Troubleshooting chart

1. Fuel
Enough fuel
Check if there is
fuel in the fuel tank
2. Compression
There is compression
Use electric
starter
No compression
3. Ignition
Wet
Remove spark plug
and check
electrode
Dry
Engine turns
4. Battery *
over quickly
Use electric starter
Engine turns
over slowly

Go to compression
check
No fuel
Supply fuel
Wipe clean with dry cloth and correct
spark plug gap or replace spark plugs
Ask Yamaha dealer to inspect
Battery good
Check fluid, recharge
and check
connections

Never check the fuel system while smoking or in the
vicinity of an open flame.
Engine doesn't start, go to
compression check
Go to ignition check
