Audible Alarms

The UPS may sound an audible alarm to warn of a problem. For information on what to do if
the UPS detects an alarm condition, refer to Chapter 5, "Troubleshooting."

Silencing an Audible Alarm

To silence an audible alarm, press the Test/Alarm Reset button (1).

IMPORTANT:
Although an audible alarm silences, the condition that caused the alarm still exists. For information
on what to do if the UPS detects an alarm condition, refer to Chapter 5, "Troubleshooting."
If a utility power failure caused the alarm (the Utility LED goes out or the On Battery/Low Battery
LED illuminates amber), the alarm silences after utility power is restored.

Shutting Down the System

To shut down the system:
1. Shut down all load devices.
2. Press the On/Standby button to take the UPS out of Operate mode. Power to the load
receptacles ceases.
3. Disconnect the UPS from utility power.
4. Wait at least 60 seconds while the UPS internal circuitry discharges.
