Some functions will show the toast notification at the edges of the screen.
Those toast notifications are disabled at factory default. you can enable
them in the TOSHIBA Function Key application.
To access it, click Desktop -> Desktop Assist -> Tools & Utilities ->
TOSHIBA Function Key.

Windows special keys

The keyboard provides two keys that have special functions in Windows,
the Windows Start Button key activates the Start screen while the
User's Manual
Standard F1-
Function
F12 mode
FN + F3
Increases the computer's display
panel brightness in individual steps.
FN + F4
Changes the active display device.
To use a simultaneous mode, you
must set the resolution of the internal
display panel to match the resolution
of the external display device.
FN + F5
Enables or disables the Touch Pad.
FN + F6
Moves media backward.
FN + F7
Plays or pauses media playback.
FN + F8
Moves media forward.
FN + F9
Decreases the computer's volume.
FN + F10
Increases the computer's volume.
FN + F11
Turns the sound on or off.
FN + F12
Turn the Airplane model on or off.
FN + 1
Reduces the icon size on the desktop
or the font sizes within one of the
supported application windows.
FN + 2
Enlarges the icon size on the desktop
or the font sizes within one of the
supported application windows.
FN + Space
Changes the display resolution.
Turns the keyboard backlight on or
FN +
off. This function is supported with
some models.
