    Temporarily disconnect any equipment connected to the phone such as faxes, other phones, or modems. NSTALLING THE HONE Your cordless telephone system should be placed on a level surface such as a desk or table top, or you can mount it on a wall. NSTALLING THE ANDSET NOTE: You must connect the handset battery before use.

    CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or personal injury, use only the ATLINKS, Inc. Nickel-Cadmium battery model 5-2548 that is compatible with this unit. 2. NOTE: It is important to maintain the polarity (black and red wires) to the jack inside the compartment.

    ROGRAMMING UNCTIONS The system uses a menu structure to give you access to all of the built-in features.You may program the following items in main menu:Time and Alarm Setting, Ringer Setting, Phone Setting and Display Setting. NOTE: During programming, you may press the TONE*/exit button at any time to exit and keep the previous setting.

    HANGING THE UMBER The FORMAT option lets you change the format of the displayed number. The available formats are as follows. 7-digit 7-digit telephone number. 10-digit 3-digit area code + 7-digit telephone number. 11-digit long distance code “1” + 3-digit area code + 7-digit telephone number. 1.

    HANGING THE ATTERY Make sure the telephone is OFF before you replace battery. 1. Remove the battery compartment door. 2. Disconnect the battery plug from the jack inside the battery compartment and remove the battery pack from the handset. 3. Insert the new battery pack and connect the battery plug to the jack inside the handset battery compartment.
