This cooktop contains several new features such as pan detection and pan sizing. The touch controls give you precise control of the surface elements. You can quickly switch between a steady low heat and full power or any setting in between. -

IMPORTANT: As a convenience, you CONTROL CONTROL LOCK LOCK can lock the entire cooktop at any time when it is not in use or before cleaning. Locking the cooktop will prevent surface elements from being turned on accidentally. To lock the cooktop: Touch and hold the CONTROL LOCK pad for 3 seconds. -

Pans with rounded, curved, let a pot boil dry. Overheated metal can ridged or warped bottoms are not bond to the glass cooktop and leave a recommended. Pan Detection/Sizing permanent stain if it is not removed may not work properly with these types of pans. -

Be sure the canner fits over the center of the surface element. If your cooktop or its location does not allow the canner to be centered on the surface element, use smaller-diameter pots for good canning results. -

Care and cleaning of the cooktop. Be sure electrical power is off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the cooktop. CONTROL CONTROL As a convenience, you can lock the LOCK LOCK entire cooktop at any time when it is not in use or before cleaning. Locking the cooktop will prevent surface elements from being turned on accidently. Normal Daily Use Cleaning ONLY use ceramic cooktop cleaner on the glass cooktop. -

Make sure bottoms of cookware are clean before use, and use cookware with smooth bottoms. • See the Cleaning the glass cooktop section. • This is normal. The surface may appear discolored when it is hot.
