two-channel stereo sound
As an alternative to using the television's speakers, the sound can also be played
back through a HiFi system.

nel amplifier.
Note:
The correct digital output format must be set on the DVD player. Observe the
settings in the chapter entitled "Adapting the digital output of the DVD player
to a digital multi-channel amplifier" on page 30.
