Assembly Guide: Viper Responder LE Case
Below are instructions for disassembly and assembly of the Viper Responder LE, and for the
companion 1-way remotes. This guide applies to remote controls with Replacement Part Number
(RPN) 7251V or 7152V.
Finding the RPN, replacement part number
Turn your remote control over and remove the battery door. With the door removed read the
silk-screen on the back case to find the RPN, as shown below.

Disassembly instructions
1.
Turn the remote control over and remove the bat-
tery door.
2.
Remove the coin cell battery or batteries.
3.
Remove Back Housing. The Back Housing is
held in place by tabs along its edge. Insert
a small slotted screwdriver into gap between
Back Housing and Outer Bezel.
a. Start in the middle and pry the case up.
b. Move the screwdriver along the edge to
care fully pry up the tabs at the bottom of the
remote.
c. Then insert the screwdriver towards the top
of the case to pry up the tab.
d. Remove Back Housing.
Note: Care must be taken so that the Elastomer
contact does not fall out.
4.
Remove the PCB, Printed Circuit Board.
5.
Remove Keypad assembly.
Assembly instructions (not illustrated)

Insert Keypad assembly into Front Housing and
Outer Bezel.
7.
Insert PCB assembly into Front Housing and
Outer Bezel
8.
Inspect Back Housing Assembly to be sure Elas-
tomer Contact is in place.
9.
Assemble the Back Housing to Front Housing
and Outer Bezel by snapping tabs in place.
10.
Insert coin cell battery or batteries. For 7251V
the remote emits beep tones.
11.
Install Battery door.
