C. Engine Stop Switch Some engines are equipped with an optional Stop Switch. This rocker switch is used to shut off the ignition that supplies the spark plug with power. Pressing the "OFF" position will turn the engine off when it is running. This switch must be in the “ON”...
G. Filling Fuel Tank An adult should fuel this engine. WARNING NEVER allow children to refuel this Front View engine. Gasoline (fuel) vapors are highly flammable and can explode. B. Engines with Recoil Starters 1. To avoid carbon monoxide poisoning, be sure engine is outdoors in a well-ventilated area. 2. B. Removing Debris from Engine Before each use, remove grass clippings, dirt and debris from the following areas: • Levers and Linkage • Cooling Fins • Air Intake Screen • Guards Removing debris will insure adequate cooling, correct engine speed and reduce the risk of fire. See Figure 31. C.
