System Setup

The System Setup pages allow you to customize the
features of the StreetPilot 2610/2650.
You can completely reset the System Setup features
on each fi le tab to their original settings.

The fi le tab headings and System Setup functions are:
General
Color Scheme, Units, Voice, Touchscreen Tone, Attention Tone, and Keypress Tone.
Guidance
Off-Route Recalculation and Next Turn Pop-Up.
Routing
Route Preference, Ask Me My Preference, Calculation Method, Calculate Routes for, and
Avoid (U-Turns, Toll Roads, Highways, and Unpaved Roads).
Time
Time Format, Time Zone, Daylight Savings, Time, Date, Sunrise, and Sunset.
Safety
Switches 'Safe Mode' On and Off.
Track Log
Recording, Percentage Full and Clear Track.
Language
Selects desired operating language for on-screen text and voice prompts.
Interface (2650 Only)
Odometer Wave Type, Reverse Light Polarity, USB Format, and Serial Format.
The following describes, in more detail, the available settings for each System Setup fi le tab item.
'General' Tab
Color Scheme
Allows you to choose between three operating modes:
• Dark: Displays a black background with white letters.
• Bright: Displays a white background with black letters.
• Auto: Automatically adjust switches to 'Dark' at sunset and 'Bright' at sunrise.
Units
Allows you to select the desired units of measure for distance in miles ('Statute') or kilometers
('Metric'). If you select 'Statute', the speed is shown in miles per hour and the elevation is shown in feet.
'Metric' shows speed in kilometers per hour and elevation in meters.
Voice
This setting determines when the voice (and chime, if enabled) sounds. The StreetPilot 2610/2650
"speaks" status messages (if enabled), such as "external power lost", and route navigation messages, such as
"drive point eight miles west and turn right". If enabled, a single chime precedes all automatic voice naviga-
tion messages (see 'Attention Tone'). There are three possible voice messages per route leg. The fi rst
