Map Page
When the 'New Waypoint' page appears, the
waypoint is stored in memory once you select 'OK'.
The 'Waypoint Created' page appears with a default
three-digit number for its name which can be
changed to something a little more descriptive (up
to 10 characters in length).

To create a new waypoint from the Map Page (blank map area):
1. Use the remote THUMB STICK or TOUCH to point to the desired location on the map. Press IN on the
THUMB STICK or TOUCH the 'Flag' icon. A 'New Map Waypoint' page appears, with an auto-assigned
name (3-digit number) for the waypoint. To change the name or coordinates, see Data Entry on page 4.
2. To save the waypoint, TOUCH 'OK' or select with the THUMB STICK.
To create a new waypoint using a map item:
1. Use the remote THUMB STICK or TOUCH to point to the desired map item. Select the 'Information'
icon.
2. Select the Create Waypoint 'Flag' icon. A 'New Waypoint' page appears, with an abbreviated auto-
assigned name. To change the name or coordinates, see Data Entry on page 4.
3. To save the waypoint, select 'OK'.
Once you are fi nished with panning, you can quickly remove the panning arrow and re-center the map
on your present position by pressing the remote QUIT key or TOUCH the 'Back' arrow in the upper left.
See page 20 for more on creating and editing waypoints.
The 'Go To' function can be used anywhere on the map. If nothing currently exists at the map pointer
position, a new waypoint is created at the pointer' s location before the 'Go To' is started. You can also create
a waypoint on the Map page without selecting it as a 'Go To' destination.
Routing to a Map Feature or Location
1. Use the remote THUMB STICK or TOUCH to point to the desired map item or location on the map.
2. Select the 'Information' or 'Flag' icon in the upper right.
2. Select 'Go To'.
3. The ' Route Preference' window appears. Select 'Faster Time', 'Shorter Distance', or 'Off Road'. The
StreetPilot 2610/2650 routes you to the selected destination using turn-by-turn navigation and voice
prompting. See pages 27-30 for more on Routes.
