CHARGING THE BATTERY
The Forerunner 201 operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This battery lasts as
long as 15 hours when fully charged. To recharge the battery, be sure to wipe the contacts
dry, if needed, then snap the AC recharging cradle to the unit with the 4-contact end in fi rst
(shown below). Connect to a power source. Full recharge time should take between 1-3
hours. The battery must be charged at least 2 hours before initial use.
NOTE. If the unit has been stored for a long period of time (battery fully
dis charged), it may require up to 30 minutes of charging before it powers on
and/or indicates charging. The Forerunner's memory stores your data indefi nitely.
Battery life may be decreased in extreme temperatures or as the battery ages.
