MONTHLY TASKS

Check thedoor'sbalance
•
Close the garage door.
•
Disengage the doorfromtheopener.
•
Raise andlowerthe doormanually

Thedoorshouldmovefreely withoutsticking or binding.
•
Raise thedoorhalfway open.

Thedoorshouldremainrelatively s till.A slowmovement
isacceptable.
NOTE
If either of the above tests fail,call a professional garage
door installer to repair the door.

•
Close the garage door.
•
Disengage the doorfromtheopener.
•
Starttheopener to run thebulletto theopenposition.
•
Startthe bullettowardthecloseposition andblockthe
Safe-T-Beam
® .

Thebulletshouldstopandreverse towardthe
openposition.
•
Withthe beamblocked, verifythatconstant p ressure i s
required on thewallbuttonto make thebulletmovetoward
thecloseposition.

Release thepushbutton beforethebulletstopsandit
shouldreverse totheopen position.
•
Verify thatthe remote controlwillnot movethebulletin
the downdirection.
•
Ifeithertestfails, adjust t hebeam andretest. See step1,page 7.

Testing the safety reverse
•
Re-engage thedoorto theopener.

Flipthecarriage release l everup.

Raise thegarage doormanually untilthecarriage
engages with thebullet.
•
Raise thedoorto thefullyopenposition.
•
Place a 2"x 4"boardflatin thecenter of thegarage
dooropening.
•
Using theremote or wallbuttonclose thedoor.
-
Thedoormustreverse within 2seconds ofcontacting
the board.
•
Ifthetestfails, adjusttheclosing force andretest.(See Step5,
Page 11).

SEMI-ANNUAL TASKS
Checkthe belt tension (Figure1).
•
Onthe bullet,measure the tensionspringlength.

Itshould be1".
•
If needed, t urn the adjustmentwheeluntil the tension
springisabout 1"long.

A flat bladescrewdriver c an be usedto turn the
adjustmentwheel.
