Camera notes:
U Donot store or usethe camerain the following
typesof locations:
• In the rain,very humidand dusty places.
• In a placewherethe cameracan beexposed
directlyto the sunlight or subjectto high
temperature, e.g.Insidea closedcar in summer.
• In a placewherethe camerais subjectto a high
magneticfield, e.g.near motors,transformers
or magnets.
II1 Donot placethe cameraon a wet surfaceor places
wheredripping water or sandmay comein contact
with thecamera, w hichmaycause irrepairabte faults.
U If the camerawill not be usedfor a long period of
time, we suggestyou removethe battery and the
memorycard.
U If you carry the camera suddenlyfrom a cold lo-
cation to a warm place, moisture may condense
insidethe camera.We suggestyouwait for a while
beforeturning on the camera.
U No compensation for lossof recordings.Lossof re-
cordings cannot be compensatedfor if a malfunc-
tion ofyour cameraor recordingmedia,etc, makes
the playbackof recordingsnot possible.
Battery
notes:
U Incorrect use of the batteries may cause them to
leak, become hot, ignite or burst. Always observe
the precautions given below.
• Do not expose the batteries to water, and take
particular care to keep the terminals dry.
• Donot heat the batteries or throw them into a fire.
• Do not attempt to deform, disassemble or modify
the batteries.
• UseGEcharger in the package to charge the
lithium battery only (for G and Eseries).
U Keep the batteries out of reach of babies and small
children.
In cold locations, battery performance deteriorates
and the time for which they can be used shortens
markedly.
Memory card notes:
UWhen usinga new memorycard, or a memoryca.rd
has.been initialized by a PC,be sure to tormat the
cardwith your digital camera beforeusingit.
UTo edit imagedata, copy the imagedata to the PC's
hard disk and then tormat memorycard if upgrade
the firmware.
UDo not changeor deletethe directory names,or file
namesin the memorycardfrom your PC,asthis may
makeit impossibleto usethe card inyour camera.
