Beforeusing handtoo[ attachments, it is necessary
to primethe pump Followthese steps for optimal
performance:
• Fill the cleanwater tank_
• Place bandtool attachment on tloor.
• Depress the solution dispense button on hose for
10 secondswhile the poweris off,,
,, Repeatif necessary.
Step on Power ON/OFFPedal to turn cleaner on.
While depressing solution spray trigger, slowly
_ush unit forward Releasetrigger and pull unit backward in the same path
to remove dirty water and sotution from carpel (For heavily soiled areas,
repeat if necessary,) NOTE:Do NOToversaturate the upholstery. IMPORTANT;
FOR BEST CLEANINGRESULTS USESTEADY, MODERATE,FORWARDAND
BACKWARD MOTION Makesure upholstery is drybefore use NOTE;If the Dirty
WaterTank Door is not replaced, there will be NOsuction through the nozzleand
the unit will not operatepmpert_

becomesfuli, the float wilI rise, shutting off the air flow through the nozzle
NOTE:The float in your Carpet Shampooer is will shut off the suction when the Dirty Water Tank is full For best
results, use smooth, steady motion keeping the nozzleflat against the carpeting Tipping the cleaner and
breaking the seal of the nozzle and carpeting will cause the float to rise and shut off the suction Once the
float is activated, erupt" the Dirty WaterTank ff the Dirty Water Tankdoes not appear full, press the Power
On/OffPedaland wait for the float to settle and reset. If the float repeatedlyshuts off the suction, empty the
Dirty WaterTank,.Forbest results,use onfy Dirt DeviP Carpet& Rug Shampoo OtherSolutionsmay generate
excessivefoam which will cause the float to rise prematurely and shut off the suction Use5 (five)capfuls
(approximately5 ounces)of Dirt DeviP Carpet& Rug Shampooper fill up of the Clean Water Tank A higher
concentrationof shampoo may cause excessivefoaming.
