Taking pictures with self-timer

We recommend using a tripod. This is also effective for preventing jitter when pressing
the shutter button or the motion picture button, by setting the self-timer.

Press the shutter button halfway to focus and then press it
fully to take the picture
• The Self-timer indicator blinks and the shutter is
activated after 10 seconds (or 2 seconds).
• When [10s / 3pictures] is selected, the Self-timer
indicator blinks again after the first and the second
pictures are taken and the shutter is activated
2 seconds after it blinks.
When taking motion pictures
When motion picture button is pressed, the Self-timer
indicator blinks and motion picture recording is started
after 10 seconds (or 2 seconds).
• To finish motion picture recording, press motion
picture button again.
• When [10s / 3pictures] is set, motion picture
recording is started after 10 seconds.
to select the item and then press [MENU/SET]
Picture is taken 10 seconds after shutter is pressed.
After 10 seconds the camera takes 3 pictures at about 2 seconds
intervals after shutter is pressed. (Only when taking still pictures)
Picture is taken 2 seconds after shutter is pressed.
