    Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible. Using a plastic scribe, release the keyboard from the tabs on the palm rest and ease the keyboard up until it clears off the palm rest. Carefully turn the keyboard over and place it on the palm rest. CAUTION: Be extremely careful when removing and handling the keyboard.

    Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible. Remove the screws that secure the palm rest to the computer base. Lift the connector latches and pull the pull-tabs to disconnect the hot-key board cable, power-button board cable, and touchpad cable from the system-board connectors.
