Syntax: [no] ip address <ip-addr>/<mask-bits>
Syntax: ip default-gateway <ip-addr>
Before connecting equipment to a Layer 3 switch, you must assign an interface IP address to the subnet on which
the router will be located. Refer to your B-FCX hardware installation guide for instructions to configure IP addresses
on devices running and Layer 3 software.

Connecting network equipment to B-FCX device

Once you power on the device and assign IP addresses, the system is ready to accept network equipment. Refer to
your B-FCX device hardware installation guide for the following instructions:
Configuring IP parameters for devices running Layer 2 and 3 software
Connecting to network devices such as routers, workstations, switches, and hubs.
Connectors
Cable specifications
Testing connectivity
Troubleshooting network connections
Once equipment is connected, you can continue configuring B-FCX devices using the CLI or management interface.
Refer to instructions in the appropriate device configuration guide.
