Turning On and Off

Turning the camera on in
Photography mode
Open the lens cover completely to turn the camera on.
Close the lens cover until it stops to turn the camera off.
• Power-ON
MEMO
Changes between Photography mode and
Playback mode
Press w during shooting to change to Playback mode.
Press the shutter button down halfway to return to
Photography mode.
CAUTION
Take care not to get fingerprints on the camera lens as
this will result in impaired image quality in your shots.
• Power-OFF
Turning the camera on in
Playback mode
A Leave the lens cover closed.
• Close the lens cover
B Press w for about 1 second to turn the camera on in
Playback mode.
Press w during playback to turn the camera off.
CAUTION
When the lens cover is open, even if you press w, the
power cannot be turned off. Follow the instructions on the
LCD monitor.
MEMO
To change to Photography mode, open the lens cover
completely so that it will not move further.
