The battery has run out.
The battery is loaded backward.
The battery cover is not closed securely.
Camera is used in extremely cold
conditions.
The terminals are soiled.
Same battery has been used for a long
period.
The battery has run out.
The AC power adapter or cradle plug has
come out of the power outlet.
Solutions
Charge the battery or load fully charged
battery.
Load the battery in the corrected direction
Close the battery cover securely.
Put the battery in your pocket or another
warm place to heat it and then load it into
the camera just before you take a picture.
Wipe the battery terminals with a clean,
dry cloth.
The battery can no longer be recharged.
Load a new battery.
Charge the battery or load fully charged
battery.
Plug the AC power adapter or cradle back
in.
