PAX System Tire Labeling
U.S. model only
The PAX system tires have different
markings from conventional tire
markings. Following is an example of
PAX system tire size with an
explanation of what each component
means.
245-680R460A 102V
245 Tire width in millimeters.
680 Outside diameter of the tire in
millimeters.
R Tire construction code (R
indicates radial)
460 Nominal diameter at the rim
seat in millimeters.
A Symmetric
102 Load index (a numerical code
associated with the maximum
load the tire can carry).
V Speed symbol (an
alphabetical code indicating
the maximum speed rating).
