Player
Another VCR
Dubbing from any VCR (or video camera) to
another is simple. Explanations on this page uses
this VCR as the recording VCR. Refer also to the
manual supplied with the other VCR (for
playback).
Notes:
When this VCR is the recording VCR,
You can also use S-Video or Video/Audio input
jacks on the front panel if another VCR has S-
Video or Video/Audio output jacks.
When this VCR is the playing VCR,
You can use the following connector or jacks.
• AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector (Rear panel):
if another VCR has Scart input connector.
Be sure to set the A/V1 OUTPUT to the
appropriate mode on the "OUTPUT/INPUT
SET UP" screen. (✈P.37)
• S-Video/Audio output jacks (Rear panel): if
another VCR has S-Video/Audio input jacks.
1 Insert a source tape in the playing VCR and a
blank tape in the recording VCR.
2 Set the TV to AV mode.
3 Press Number button "0" and/or CH 5/∞ (or
PROGRAMME 5/∞ on the front panel) to
select the line input.

• L-1 : For rear panel AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT
connector.
• L-2 : For rear panel AV2 (L-2) IN/DE-
CODER connector.
• S-1 : For front panel S-Video/Audio input
jacks.
• L-F: For front panel Video/Audio input
jacks.
If you are using a rear panel AV1 (L-1) IN/
OUT or AV2 (L-2) IN/DECODER connector,
be sure to set the "A/V1 INPUT" or "A/V2
SELECT" and "A/V2 INPUT" on the OUT-
PUT/INPUT SET UP screen to appropriate
mode. (✈P.37)
4 Press ALT/SPEED, until the desired tape
speed (SP, LP or EP) appears on the display.
5 Press the PLAY 3 button on the playing VCR.
6 Press REC/OTR ¶ at this VCR.
Remember: Press the buttons in step 5 and 6
simultaneously to avoid missing any of the
recording.
