INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installation
1. Locate the oven on a flat and stable surface.
Do not operate the oven when condensation appears on the outside of the oven. This indicates
the room humidity is too high. Free air flow around the oven is imporatant. Do not place oven in
a hot or damp location (i.e. near gas or electric cooker or other heat generating equipment).
2. Do not block Air Vents.
All air vents should be kept clear during cooking. If air vents are covered during oven operation
the oven many overheat. In this case, a thermal sensitive safety device automatically turns the
oven off.
The oven will be inoperable until it has cooled sufficiently. a space of at least 10cm should be
allowed between the oven and a wall, to allow for sufficient cooling during operation.
3. Remove all the packing material from the oven and set the oven tray and roller guide in place.
Check rotation of the tray after starting the oven. It may not be able to turn Remove film from the
oven exterior.
4. Wipe interior and door seal with a damp cloth before using.
Earthing
This appliance must be earthed. In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces the risk
of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. The appliance is equipped
with a mains lead which includes and earth wire for connecting to the earth terminal of your mains
plug. The plug must be plugged into a socket which has been properly installed and earthed.
WARNING Improper use of the earth terminal can result in a risk of electric shock.
Your microwave oven plugs into a standard 230Volts, 50Hz AC, 3-pin earthed outlet.
WARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED. FOR PERSONAL SAFETY, THIS
APPLIANCE MUST BE PROPERLY EARTHED. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES,
CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD (EARTH) PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD PLUG.
Voltage Warning
The voltage used must be the same as specified on this microwave oven. Using a higher voltage
may result in a fire or other hazards causing oven damage. Using low voltage will cause slow
cooking. The manufacturer is not responsible for the damage resulting from the use of this
microwave oven with a voltage or amperage fuse other than those specified.
IMPORTANT The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Green-and-yollew
: Earth
Blue
: Neutral
Brown
: Live

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERAL USE

Listed below are, as with all appliances, certain rules to follow and safeguards to assure
top performance from this oven:
1. Do not use the oven for any reason other than food preparation, such as for drying clothes, paper, or any
other nonfood items or for sterilizing purposes.
2. Do not use the oven when empty, this could damage the oven.
3. Do not use the oven cavity for any type of storage, such as papers, cookbook, cookware, etc.
4. Do not use the oven for home canning. Microwave/grill ovens are not designed to permit proper canning.
Improperly canned food may spoil and be dangerous to consume. Use conventional methods of water
bath or pressure canners for home canning.
5. Do not operate the oven without the turntable tray in place. Be sure it is properly set on the rotating base.
6. Use caution when removing the turntable tray after cooking meats that may have caused an
accumulation of grease in the tray.
7. Unlike microwave-only ovens, all microwave/grill ovens become hot on the cabinet and oven door.
Always use hot pads or oven mitts when placing or removing food and/or accessories from the oven. Use
caution when touching parts other than the control panel during or immediately following grill cooking.
8. If the oven is hot from grill cooking, do not use plastic or styrofoam cookware for microwave cooking.
They will melt.
9. Do not use recycled paper products for cooking. They may contain impurities which could cause sparks
and/or fires during cooking.
10. Do not continue to cook with metal utensils if sparking appears. See "Accessaries" section on page 8 for
proper use of cookware.
11. Do not use conventional meat or cake thermometers when microwave cooking. Also microwave
thermometers will not withstand the heat of grill cooking. Use the correct thermometer during cooking.
Specific microwave/grill thermometers are available and should be used with this oven.
12. Do not cook eggs in the shell, as they will explode. Occasionally a poached egg may burst during
microwave cooking. Be sure to cook covered, and let stand one minute after cooking bevore removing
the cover.
13. Do not cook any food surrounded by a membrane, such as egg yolks, potatoes chicken livers, etc.,
without first piercing them several times with a fork.
14. Do not microwave popcorn in a paper bag or vinyl bag. Use special popcorn popper cookwave or
specially designed and package microwave popcorn. To use, carefully follow the manufacturer's
directions.
15. The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars are to be stirred or shaken and that the temperature is
to be checked before consumption to avoid burns.
16. Microwave cook chill meals in aluminium foil containers may be heated, however, be sure that the foil
container is never closer than 2.5cm from the cavity walls or door in order to prevent oven damage.
17. a) Be cautions about touching parts other than control panel during or immediately following grill or combi
cooking.
b) Always use hot pads or oven mitts when placing or removing food and/or accessories from the oven.
