3.4.3 Print Process

1. Charging
The flow of the ion charge is controlled by the constant voltage of the grid 870 V to ensure it is
distributed evenly on the drum surface. In order to coat toner on the exposure drum, the drum
needs to be evenly electrified. Ions are produced by supplying high-voltage power to the
corona wire.
