This stitch is ideal for 1/4" (0.6 cm) seams on knits
or on medium to heavy weight woven fabrics
where you want a narrow seam. It is also great
for sewing spandex swim wear. Place the fabric to
leave a 5/8" (1.6 cm) allowance.
Trim the extra allowance after sewing.

Tricot Stitch (Multiple Zigzag Stitch)

This stitch is used to finish a raw edge on
synthetics and other fabrics that tend to pucker.
Place the fabric to leave a 5/8" (1.6 cm)
allowance.
Trim the extra allowance after sewing.
It is also used for mending tears.
Use a short stitch length (0 – 1) for mending
tears.
