5. Either Start "OAISYS Net Server" in OAISYS program group from Start menu or
choose Activate from eManager to restart the system.
6. Verify ACD system works.
Using both ethernet interfaces on the MAS - The MAS has two Ethernet ports which can be used to
separate networks. Some network configurations use one network for the connection to Strata CIX and
the other for the connection to clients. Although Toshiba does not recommend using both IP ports, if
this network configuration is used, the 100/1000MB port on the MAS must be used to connect to
network with the LIPU card. It is also necessary to assign the proper IP address for voice processing
resource. For this purpose, HMPIPSet.exe is uploaded to FYI. Please follow steps below. Otherwise,
voice announcement ports may not be connected properly.
1. Connect the Ethernet cable from 100/1000MB NIC port to the network where LIPU is
connected.
2. Run HMPIPSet.exe. In the window, enter the IP address of the 100/1000MB Ethernet
port.
3. Above steps should be repeated every time the IP address is changed when two net-
work configuration is used. If only one network is used or if DHCP is used, there is no
need to follow these steps.
When installing ACD on the MAS with eManager it is important to make sure that SES and MAS are
not both trying to use the same ports. Refer to the Installation & Maintenance manual.
eManager can reach the CIX through an IP connection – such as a VPN connection, a LAN modem, or
a modem attached to the MAS with the MAS configured for Remote Access Services. A USB modem
is available on FYI as SYS-USB-MODEM.
eManager operating on a PC or laptop can reach the CIX directly through a dial-up modem connection.
This function requires an AMDS, an optional card that mounts on the CIX processor card, and software
setup on the PC or laptop. The software and setup instructions are available on FYI. Refer to:
FYI > Technical Services > Software (Strata Systems) > CIX Dialup.zip. Installation and setup
instructions are included in the file.
System Features Available in the Near Future:
Stratagy IVP8 R2 – The IVP8 R2 is still undergoing testing with the CIX, and will be supported in
March of 2005.
InfoManager will be available in March of 2005.
iES32 Status – The Stratagy iES32 is still undergoing testing with the CIX, and will be supported in
March of 2005. Within the CIX the iES32 can be configured with up to 32 voice mail ports, supporting
a maximum of four fax channels. The iES32 can be installed in the bottom right card slot of the Base or
Extension cabinet. When configured for 16 or fewer ports the top right card slot can be used for other
cards. When the daughter board is added to support 17 to 32 ports, the iES32 physically blocks the top
right slot.
System Features Available in Release 3.1:
When R3.1 software is released the CTX-100 and CTX-670 will be brought up to full IP capability. An
LIPU card in any chassis will be able to network with a BIPU-Q using Strata Net. With the current R3.0
release a BIPU-Q card is required in the CIX in order to network with a CTX-100 or CTX-670. The
LIPU can be used to network CIX systems with other LIPUs in other CIX systems.
