Voice recognition

Some languages are unavailable depending on the country or region.
Instead of touching the screen to control your navigation device, you can now give instructions
to your navigation device using your voice.
For example, to increase the volume on your navigation device, you can say, "Increase
volume."
NOTE
To use command and control, you must have a computer voice installed on your navigation
device. You can install computer voices using TomTom HOME.
To view the list of available commands, touch

If "Computer" is indicated next to a language setting, it means the installation has been
completed.
Computer voices which are available for installation can be verified at TomTomHOME.
Using voice command and control
NOTE
You must select a computer voice in order to use voice command and control. To select a
computer voice, touch Voices in the Change preferences, then touch
computer voice.
In this example, you will use voice command and control to plan a journey to your Home
address.
1. Touch the microphone button in the Driving View.
NOTE
To add or remove this button from the Driving View, touch
preferences, then touch
The microphone monitor is shown in colour, unless command and control is busy with
another task.
2. When you hear a beep, say, "Navigate to Home."
When you speak, the microphone monitor shows if you are talking too loudly or quietly:
A green bar means your voice is at the right level for your device to hear your
commands.
A red bar means your voice is too loud.
A grey bar means your voice is too quiet.
For some phrases, your device repeats the command, then asks you if the command has
been correctly recognised.
