5. Using the menu

The phone offers you an extensive
range of functions that are grouped
into menus. Most of the menu
functions are provided with a brief
help text. To view the help text,
scroll to the menu function that you
want and wait for 15 seconds. To
exit the help text, press Back. You
can set the phone to display or hide
the menu help texts in the
activation menu. See
settings" on page 49.
■ Accessing a menu
function
By scrolling
1. To access the menu, press Menu.
2. Scroll up or down through the
menu list, or scroll with any of
the scroll keys if the grid menu
view is selected.
Select, for example,
pressing Select.
You can change the menu view in
the Menu view
"Main display settings"

3. If the menu contains submenus,
select the one that you want, for
example Call settings.
4. If the selected submenu contains
further submenus, repeat step 3.

5. Select the setting of your choice.
6. To return to the previous menu
level, press Back, and to exit the
menu, press Exit.
By a shortcut
The menus, submenus and setting
options are numbered, and you can
access some of them by using their
shortcut number.
To access the menu, press Menu. Key
in quickly, within 2 seconds, the
index number of the menu function
that you want to access.
To return to the previous menu level,
press Back, and to exit the menu,
press Exit.
