This cooker hood is communication
enabled.
The communication modules
XKM 2000 DA
optional extra, enable the operation of
the cooker hood to be automatically
controlled by the operating status of a
Miele electric hob with onset controls.
This cooker hood operates with two
fans. Each side has its own controls.
Each side can communicate with a
separate hob.
For communication to take place, both
hobs must be fitted with an appropriate
communication module
The hobs transmit information about
their operating status to the cooker
hood via the household power supply
(Powerline) .

– When a hob is switched on, the
applicable side of the cooker hood
will light up and the fan will come on.
– During cooking, the cooker hood
automatically sets its power level
according to the number of cooking
zones in operation and their power
levels.
– After the hob has been switched off,
the fan and the lighting on the cooker
hood will switch off automatically
after a period of time.

instruction booklet supplied with the
XKM 2000 DA communication module.
The communication modules are fitted
to the cooker hood in the area of the
motor and are connected to the
controls of the cooker hood.
This module must be installed by a
Miele service technician or suitably
qualified electrician.
