Step 5.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the hard disk drive.
Step 6.
Lift the hard disk drive up and out of the drive bay.
Step 7.
Remove the two pins to release the hard disk drive from the bracket.

Step 8.
To install the new hard disk drive:
a.
Line up the new hard disk drive with the bracket and place it into position.
b.
Secure the new hard disk drive to the bracket with the two pins.
c.
Slide the new hard disk drive into the drive bay and snap it into place.
d.
Connect the data and power cables to the new hard disk drive.
Step 9.
Reattach the computer cover.

Replacing a solid state drive

Note: For this procedure, it helps to lay the computer flat.
To replace a solid state drive:
Step 1.
Remove any media (disks, CDs, DVDs, or memory cards) from the drives, shut down the operating
system, and turn off the computer and all attached devices.
Step 2.
Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.
