    Web-Administrator Introduction 1 Introduction The Web Administrator (WebAdmin) 1.1.1 Functions The Web Administrator is a convenient, browser based interface for comprehensively configuring the messaging systems. By means of clear HTML pages you can access the global and personal parameters for e-mail, voice and fax services of the system and adapt these to the company´s requirements and the subscriber´s needs.

    Web-Administrator Requirements Requirements 1.2.1 Messaging Server The Web Administrator serves to configure the functions of your MRS Server (mes- saging server). The MRS Server must be installed in the system and started for this purpose. In order to have full access to all Web Administrator functions you need to be logged in with administrator privileges.

    Web-Administrator Web Administrator Operation 2 Web Administrator Operation Starting and Stopping the Web Administrator 2.1.1 Login To work with the Web Administrator you always need to start your web browser first, then call the Web Administrator and log in as user. The Web Administrator IP address depends on your network configuration.

If the cipher strength is 56 bit or less you need to update your browser software first.

In order to simplify editing, several editing forms are provided that display a certain number of all available data fields each. The USER form displays the most important data fields.

You can, however, modify single privileges within the scope set by the group memebership.

It is reasonable to first define user groups with graded privileges. Subsequently you can simply and safely administer granting privileges by assigning new users to these groups.

The Available groups list displays all groups already created. You can select single persons as well as defined groups as group members. If a person is integrated in the members list several times this way, messages are nevertheless dis- tributed to this member only once.

There you can view and, if required, edit the complete rules for e-mail handling (c.p. page 27). In the Routing Rules tab you can view and edit all existing rules, delete rules, create new rules by means of the assistant. These global greetings apply to all subscriber connections administered by the server. Global greetings can be supplemented by individual greetings of each subscriber who can also choose between global and private greetings for the time profile. You can use every telephone, mobile phone or PBX for recording.

    Web-Administrator Disk Space 9.3 Disk Space You can have the currently used memory capacity displayed. The information on hard disk capacity refers to the hard disk where documents and the database are stored. Documents are all message files (voicemail audio files, e-mails and fax documents). The database contains all user data, information on incoming and outgoing messages and further system information.
