Use the four-way controller (• •)
to select the AA battery type and
press the OK button.
When set to [Auto-detect], the camera will
automatically detect the type of batteries
being used.

Press the
MENU
button twice.
The screen that was displayed before selecting the menu appears again.
• If batteries are inserted into both the body and grip, the _attery levels of both
are checked when the power is turned on Regardless of the [Select Battery]
setting, both batteries are slightly used.
• When the currently selected battery runs out as a result of the check, the
message [Battery depleted] appears on the monitor. Turn the camera offand
on again, and the camera will switch to the remaining battery.
• You can check the battery usage condition on the status screen and LCD
panel. (p.52)
When the type of AA batteries inserted in the batteiY grip differs from the
battery typesetting inStep 5, the battery level wil! not be correctly determined.
Please set the €orrect battery type. Usually, there is no p[ob!em using [Aut0-
detect]. Howeverin!owternPeratures and when using batteries that were
stored fo r !ong periods of time_ set the appr0priate battery type so the camera
