No Power
• Check [:he FV power cord. Unplug the FV, wait t 0 second_
then reinsert the plug into t_heoutlet and push t_hePOWER
button again,
• Cheek [:hatthe outlet is not on a wall switch.
• Be sure [he fuse is not blown on l:heAC power slrip, if one is
being used.
No Picture
• Check antenna connections. Are [:hey properly secured to [he
laC's ANf 75£1 plug'?
• Cheek [:heI-UNER MODE control for [:hecorrect tuner set-
ting.
• [!q running Ne Auto Prognam feature to find all available
Channels.
• Press the AV button on Ne remora to make sum the correct
sigmN sin:ere is selected.
No Sound
• Check l:he VOLlJME buttons.
• Cheek l:he MUTE button on l:he remote control.
• I f yo_Fre attempt:ing to hook up amxiliary equipment, Check
[he audio jack connections located on the front of the fV.
Remote Does Not Work
• Cheek l:hebatteries,

on the TV
Screen:
Do not leave statlon_y
or letterbox
images on screen
for extended periods of time.
This can cause uneven
picture*tube aging.
Normal use of the I-V should involve the showing of'pictures
{:hatcontain constantly moving and changing images that fiI1 the
screen. Be careful not to leave nonmoving images on screen for
extended periods of time, or to display the same images on
screen too frequently, because subtle ghost images can be left
on {fhepicture tubes. Sources of stationary images may, be DVD
disks, Iaser disks, video games, CD-i disks, videotapes, digital
television boxes, broadcast Channels, cable Channels, satellite
Channels, and otlhcrs, Here are some examples of stalionari
images (this is not an all-inclusive list; you may encounter
others in your viewing):
• DVD menus----list:ings of DVD disk content
• Letterbox

FV screen when a wide screen (16:9) movie is viewed on a

PLACEHENT
OF THE TV
• I'o avoid cabinet warping, cabinet color changes, and
increased Chance of set lhilure, do not place {{he IN where
temperatures can become excessively hot; for example, in
direct sunlight or near a heating appliance,

CLEANING
• l-o avoid possible Shock hazard, be st:[re[he fV is unplugged
from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
• R.egularly dust t(he FV wit(h a dLv,nonscratching duster to
keep t:he FV clean.
• W_en cleaning the P% take care not to scratch or damage t:he
screen surface. Avoid wearing jewdry or using any{hing
abrasive. Do not use household cleaners. Wipe t:he front
screen witlh a clean cloth dampened win water. Use even,
easy, vertical strokes when cleaning.
• Gently wipe t:he cabinet surfaces with a dean clot:h or sponge
dampened in a solution of cool, clear water and a mild soap
or dete_ent.
Use a dean, dw cloth to dw t:he wiped surfaces.
• Occasionally vacuum tlhe ventilation holes or slots in tlhe back
cover of t:he set.
• Never use {{hinners,insecticide sprays, or o{:herchemicals on
or near {{he cabinet, as {{heymight cause permanent marring
of the cabinet finish.
