WHO
IS COVERED?
You must have proof of purchaseto receive warranty service. A sales
receipt or other document showingthat you purchasedthe product is
considered proof of purchase.
WHAT
IS COVERED?
Warranty coverage begins the day youbuyyour product,for one year
thereafter (30 days for the projection"IV screen),all partswill be repaired
or replaced, and laborand transportation are free. From one to two years
from the dayof purchase, y ou payfor the replacement or repair of all
partsexceptthe cathoderay tube andthe "Clear-Vu" lens,andfor all
labor andtransportation charges. A fter two yearsfrom the dayof pur-
chase, y ou payfor the replacement or repair of allparts exceptthe
"Clear-Vu" lens(whichis gua_unteed against m anufacturer's defectsfor
the lifeof the product),and for all laborandtransportationcharges.
All parts, including repaired and replaced parts, are covered onlyfor
the original warranty period. When the warranty on the product
expires, the warranty on all replaced andrepaired parts also expires.

Your warranty doesnot coven
labor chargesfor installationor setupof the product, adjustment of
customer controls on the product, and installadonor repair of
antenna systemsoutsideof the product-

product repair and/or part replacementbecauseof misuse,acci-
dent, unauthorizedrepair or other causenot within the control of
Philips Consumer ElectronicsCompany.
• reception problems caused by signalconditionsor cable or antenna
systemsoutsidethe unit.
• a product that requires modificadonor adaptation to enableit to
operate in anycountry other than the countryfor which it was
designed,manufactured,approved and/or authorized, or repair of
products damaeged b y these modifications.
• incidentalor consequendal d amagesresulting from the product.

includes, but is not limited to, prerecorded material, whether copy-

tries where Philips Consumer ElectronicsCompanydoes not distribute
the product, the localPhilips serviceorganizationwill attempt to pro-
vide service (althoughthere may be a delayif the appropriate spare
parts andtechnical manual(s)are not readily available).
