    Use one of these methods to connect a signal to your TV. Select 1a—if you have cable service QuickTips and a VCR, 1b—if you have a cable box and a VCR, 1c—if you have an outdoor or indoor antenna and a VCR, or 1d—if you have a satellite dish and a VCR.     Position your TV at least 2 feet from stereo speakers. The magnets in the speakers may affect the picture quality. However, all Fisher STV model speakers are stray field com- pensated and may be placed next to TV sets without any special precautions.

    Captioning is textual information transmitted along with the picture and sound so it can be QuickTips displayed on the TV screen. Because different types of captions can be transmitted with the TV signal, separate captioning modes are provided. The captioning modes recognized by this If Caption Text mode model are: Caption1, Caption2, Text1, and Text2.
