Use one of these methods to connect a signal to your TV. Select 1a—if you have cable service QuickTips and a VCR, 1b—if you have a cable box and a VCR, 1c—if you have an outdoor or indoor antenna and a VCR, or 1d—if you have a satellite dish and a VCR. Connect your cable or The TV will automat- antenna directly to the TV if you don’t have any optional accessories. -

Captioning is textual information transmitted along with the picture and sound so it can be QuickTips displayed on the TV screen. Because different types of captions can be transmitted with the TV signal, separate captioning modes are provided. The captioning modes recognized by this If Caption Text mode model are: Caption1, Caption2, Text1, and Text2. -

Content ratings are represented by the initials D (Suggestive Dialog), L (Adult Language), S (Sexual Situations), V (Violence), and FV (Fantasy Violence). When programming contains any or all of these conditions, these letters become part of the icon that is displayed on the TV screen. -
