    Use one of these methods to connect a signal to your TV. Select 1a—if you have cable service QuickTips and a VCR, 1b—if you have a cable box and a VCR, 1c—if you have an outdoor or indoor antenna and a VCR, or 1d—if you have a satellite dish and a VCR.     CLOSED-CAPTIONING Captioning is textual information transmitted along with the picture and sound so it can be displayed on the TV screen. Because different types of captions can be transmitted with the TV signal, separate captioning modes are provided. The captioning modes recognized by this model are: Caption1, Caption2, Text1, and Text2.

    NOTE: QuickTips Use the CHANNEL With the introduction of “V-Chip” technology, it is now possible for Fisher keys and the televisions to interpret MPAA and TV Parental Guidelines rating codes.     SETTING THE SLEEP TIMER The Sleep Timer will switch off the TV automatically. 1. Press the SLEEP key. 2. Use the 0 key to select the desired time (from 30 minutes up to 3 hours). Note: The Sleep Timer cancels when the TV is turned off or if a power failure occurs.
