7. Refill to the upper limit mark on the
oil level dipstick with the recom-
mended oil.
NOTE: To avoid incorrect gauging
of the engine oil level, inspect the oil
level when the engine has cooled. The
outboard motor needs to be in the
vertical position.
8. Reinstall the oil filler cap.
Always wash your hands after handling
used oil.
Also, please dispose of used motor oil in
a manner that is compatible with the
environment. We suggest you take it in a
sealed container to your local service
station reclamation center. Do not throw
it in the trash, pour it on the ground,
down a drain, or into the water.
Gear Oil
Oil check interval:
Every 100 hours or 6 months.
Oil change interval:
After the first 20 hours or 1 month,
then every 200 hours or 1 year. (Refer
to the maintenance schedule page 87).
