SETUP MENU
CAPTIONS
Purpose
Displays closed captions (CC) or informational text when
available on the selected channel.
To Access CAPTIONS Menu Directly (Select Models)
1. Press CAPTIONS
or CC/QUIT
on the remote con-
trol to see the CAPTIONS
information
display. One
of five different displays is shown: OFF, CAPTION
1,
CAPTION
2, TEXT 1 and TEXT 2.
2. Press
CAPTIONS
or CC/QUIT
until the informa-
tion display
you desire
is shown.
3. The display
disappears
from
the screen
automat-
ically in about 15 seconds,
or you may press ENTER
(ENT)
to remove the display
immediately.
To Access CAPTIONS Menu Indirectly (All Models)
1. Press MENU
until the SETUP Menu is shown.
2. Press
SELECT
(SEL)
until CAPTIONS
is high-
lighted.
3. Press ADJUST
(ADJ)
Left/Right
to see informa-
tion display.
One of five different
displays is shown:
OFF,
CAPTION
1, CAPTION
2, TEXT
1 and
TEXT 2.
4. Press ADJUST
(ADJ)
Left/Right
to select desired
status.
5. The display
disappears
from the screen
automat-
ically in about 15 seconds,
or you may press ENTER
(ENT)
to remove the display immediately.
