Stoppingthe Tiller and Eng ine

ommended fo rail tillingp urposes; The
Low speed belt range will operate thetines
and wheels at a slower forward speed;
which may be suitable in some co nd itions

To Changefrom Low to High Speed:
1. Stop the enginei allow it to cool; and
disconnect the spark Rlug wire:
2. Move the Wheel Gear Lever into the
DISENGAG E positio n.
3. Removethe two nuts from the plastic
belt cover on top of the transmission and
removethe belt cover
4: From beneath the tiller;move the
Idler

pulley high speed groove (D, Figure 4-1O)
and into the low speed groove (B);
5: Pull upward on the belt to remove any
slack and slip the belt out of the engine

on the engine start rope while pushing the

will turn as start rope is pulled)i

the right-side of the unit and is within the
forward idler (Fi Figure 4-11) on the left-
side: Be sure that the belt is situated in
the rear grooves (A and&Figure 4i10) of
the engine (uppeO and transmission
)pulleys;
