• You cannot change the image size partway
thlough a Clip Motion recording.
• Reading and writing data take more time
than nomml image recording.
• Due to the limitations of the GIF format,
the munber of colors tbr Clip Motion
images is reduced to 256 colors or less.
Therefore, the pictme quality may
deteriorate tbr some images.
• The file size is reduced in MOBILE mode,
so the pictme quality deteriorates.
• GIF files not created on this camera may
not be displayed conectly.
• All the flame images are immediately
recorded on the "Memm T Stick" if the
mode dial is switched or the power is
lnmed off.

Setting the distance
to the subject
Mode dial: I_ISIAIMISCNI_
Normally the focus is automatically
adjusted. This function is useful when
the auto focus does not work well such
as in dark places.

Set the mode dial to I_1, S, A,
M, SCN or H.
Press FOCUS.
The %cus is fixed and the q_
(mamml focus) indicator appears.

Turn the jog dial to select the
desired focus setting.
You can select from 15 focus
settings (unit: m) including the
position:
0.i,0.2,0.3,0.5,0.8, 1.0, 1.5,2.0,
3.0, 5.0, 7.0, 10.0, 15.0 and _
(infinity)
To reactivate auto focusing
Press FOCUS again and _e _cal point
information disappears.
Notes
• Focal point inlbnnation may not
completely show the conect distance Use
the infommtion as a guide.
• The tbcus preset cammt be set when
attaching a convelsion lens.
• Focusing error increases if the lens is
pointed up or down.
• If you stmot a subject within 02 m
(7 7/8 inches) while the zoom is set to the
T side, >_u cannot get a clear focus. In
such cases, the lbcal point intbrmation
flashes. Press the zoom W button until the
indicator stops flashing.
