WARNING
Never store snow
thrower with fuel
in tank indoors or
in poorly ventilated
areas, where fuel
fumes may reach an
open flame, spark
or pilot light as on a
furnace, water heater,
clothes dryer or gas
appliance.
Drain fuel into an
approved container
outdoors, away from
any open flame. Be
certain engine is
cool. Do not smoke.
Fuel left in engine
duringwarm weather
deteriorates and will
cause serious
starting problems.
Do not drain
carburetor if
using fuel stabilizer.
Never use engine or
carburetor cleaning
products in the fuel
tank or permanent
damage may occur.
Observethe following,whenpreparingyoursnow thrower
for off-seasonstorage:

Drainfuelinto an approvedcontaineroutdoors,away
from any openflame.Allowengineto cool. Extinguish
cigarettes,cigars,pipesand othersourcesof ignition
priorto drainingfuel. Fuelleft in engineduring warm
weatherdeterioratesand will causeseriousstarting
problems.
*
If unitis to be storedover30 days,preparefor storage
as instructedin the separateenginemanualpacked
with yourunit.
*
Runengineuntil fueltank is emptyand engine stops
due to lack of fuel.
Removegasolinefrom carburetorand fuel tank to
preventgumdepositsfromformingon theseparts and
causing possiblemalfunctionof engine.
Draincarburetorby pressingupwardon bowldrain,
locatedbelowthe carburetorcover.

Fuelstabilizers,such as STA-BIL®, a re an acceptable
alternativein minimizingthe formationof fuel gum
depositsduringstorage.Donot draincarburetorif
usinga fuelstabilizer.
* Wipe equipmentwith an oiled rag to preventrust.
*
Removesparkplug and pourone ounceof engineoil
throughspark plug hole intocylinder.Coversparkplug
holewith rag.Crankengine severaltimesto distribute
oil. Replacespark plug.
*
Followthe lubricationrecommendations foundin the
Maintenance Section.
* Alwaysstorethe snowthrowerin a clean,dry area.
