ice bin:
1. Disconnect refrigerator from power supply.
2. Push in sides of light shield and pull forward until
shield snaps free.
3. Replace bulb with a 40-watt appliance bulb.
4. Replace light shield.
5. Reconnect refrigerator to power supply.
To change light behind quick freeze
compartment (on some models):
1, Disconnect refrigerator from power supply.
2. Lift and secure quick freeze compartment door.
3. Remove top freezer shelf by lifting up and
sliding out.
4. Remove light shield by grasping the top center of
the shield.
5. Pull forward while turning the light shield slightly to
one side.
6. Replace bulb with a 40-watt appliance bulb.
7. To replace light shield:
• Grasp the top center of the shield.
• Insert the tabs on one end of the shield into the
slotted holes in the freezer liner.
• Carefully bend the shield at the center to insert the
tabs on the other end.
8. Replace top freezer shelf.
9. Reconnect refrigerator to power supply.
To change dispenser area light:
1. Disconnect refrigerator from power supply.
2. Reach through dispenser area to remove bulb.
3. Replace with a heavy-duty 10-watt bulb, which can
be purchased from your Whirlpool dealer,
4, Reconnect refrigerator to power supply,
NOTE: Not all commercial appliance bulbs will fit your
refrigerator. Be sure to replace a bulb with one of the
same size and shape.
