After changing the backing
pads, make sure they are fully .
. pushed into place. Loose
backing pads can come off and
be violently thrown.
After ~hanging the sanding
discs, check to make sure
they are centered on the
backing pads and firmly
pressed into place. Loose or
off center sanding discs can
cause the sander to vibrate
leading to possible injury to the
operator or damage to the tool.

Always make sure the work
surface. is free from nails and
other foreign objects. Sanding
into a nail can cause the disc to .
catch causing the tool to jump.

Never hold the workpiece in .

-other hand when in use. Never
place the hands near or below
the sanding discs. Clamping
the material and guiding the tool
with your hand is much safer.
Wear eye protection. Use face
or dust maskoalong with safety
goggles. Use hearing protection,
particularly during extended
periods of operation.
Do not wear gloves, neckties or
loose clothing. .
Always keep hands out of the
path of the sanding discs. Avoid
awkward hand positions where a
sudden slip could cause your
hand to move into the sanding
discs,
