The Buttons on the Remote Control
Your backlit remote has a light button that glows in the dark. Press this
button to light the channel up and channel down (CH +/-) and volume up
and down (VOL </>)buttons.
If you don't press any buttons for several
seconds, the light turns off"to conserve
battery power.
0-9 (Number
buttons)
Enter channel numbers
directly through the remote.
To enter a 2-digit channel,
press the two digits. To enter a 3-digit channel,
press and hold the first digit until two dashes appear on the screen (to the
right of the first number),
then add the next two digits. Example: to tune to
channel 123, press and hold 1 until 1--
appears, press 2, then press 3.
ANTENNA
Functions as TV/VCR button in VCR mode and TV/receiver
button in SAT-CABLE mode.
Arrow buttons
(up, down,
right, and left)
move through
the on-screen
menus.
AUX button
Puts the remote in AUX mode.
Press the arrow buttons
to
CH (+ and -) buttons
Scan up or down through stored channels.
Press
once to change the channel up or down; press and hold to continue changing
channels. The remote must be in TV mode.
CH CTRL (Channel
Control)
Selects the picture window
(main window
or
PIP window)
that changes when you press the channel up or channel down
button or the INPUT button.
CLEAR button
Resets the time counter.
DVD button
Puts the remote in DVD mode. Operates
RCA, GE, and
Proscan DVD Players.
FORWARD (fast forward)
button
Fast forwards a tape or disc, if you've
programmed
the remote to operate
a VCR or DVD Player and you put the
remote in the VCR or DVD mode.
GUIDE If this remote control operates
a satellite receiver (most RCA, GE, and
Proscan models),
press GUIDE to see listings from your satellite service
provider.
GO BACK button
Returns you to the previous channel.
INFO button
Displays TV/VCR's current status. Displays time counter when
a tape is inserted. Press again to remove display.
