CDdoesn'tplay
• Make sureAODC power convertorissecurely plugged into the AC
power outlet and the male end is plugged into the DCjack on the
back of the unit (or make sure batteries are fresh).
, To operate on batteries, unplug the DCmale end of the plug
from the cabinet back.
, Unplug the unit for a moment, and then plug it back in.
• Checkthe outlet by plugging in another device.
• Adjust volume setting.
• Make sure you've selectedthe correct function: RADIO,
TAPE,or CD.
• Adjust the FM whip antenna for better FM reception.
• Rotate the unit to achieve better AM reception.
• Tryturning off electrical appliancesnear the unit, such ashair
dryers,vacuum cleaners,or fluorescent lights.
• Make sureyou've put a CDin the tray.
• Make sure the CD'slabel is facing up.
, Tryanother CD.
• Make surethat Pausemode is not activated.
• Make sure CDfunction isselected.
CDsound skips
• Clean the CD(as explained in "Care and Maintenance"),
• CheckCDfor warping, scratches,or other damage.

Distorted or noisy recordings
• Inspectthe recording head and clean it if necessary.
