Dub Assist (Available
only on Audio
CDs)
Dub Assist helps you record a CD onto an audio cassette tape by determining
the number
of
tracks that will tit on one side of the tape so you have time to turn tile tape over to record on the
other side. Dub Assist does not have an icon on the Inlb Display bar. It is activated through the
DVD's PlaF menu.
To use Dub Assist when
you're
recording
a CD onto an audio
casse/le:
Use the Dub Assist screen to determine
how many CD tracks can fit on a
cassette.

Press STOP if a CD is playing (the DVD's main menu appears).
Highlight
Play Mode and press
OK (the
Play Mode options
appear).
Highlight 1)z¢b Assi._t and press OK (lhe l)J¢b Assi._t screen appears).
The highlight should be in the PtcO' Order window. Choose
Standard,
Optimized,
or Program.
Standard:
This is tile det_tult mode. "Ille tracks are recorded
in
the order on tile CD Orack 1 is recorded tirst, track 2 second, etc.)
Optimized:
The tracks are recorded
in the order that optimizes
tile number of tracks that can fit on one side of tile audio
cassetle so you have the least amount of dead space at tile end
of the tape.
Program:
"File tracks are recorded
in the order you program.
You nmst create your program
in the Edit Pr(_t{ram menu that's
in the DVD's Play menu.
lise tile arrow keys to highlight the 5"_NmentLength box. When tile
Segment Length box is highlighted,
use tile up/down
arrow buttons
to enter the length of one side of tile audio casseue.
The order tile tracks will be recorded
