With some of the PIONEER preset remote con-
trol units, the II/A
button in the LD control sec-
tion cannot be used to open/close the disc table.

Operation of the remote control unit
Point the remote control unit toward the remote control sensor
on the front panel. The distance
between
the player and re-
mote control
unit should be less than 7 meters
(23 feet) and
the operating angle should be within 30 degrees to the left and
right with respect to the remote control sensor.
To prevent
a malfunction,
avoid the entry of strong light,
such as direct sunlight and fluorescent
light, into the remote
control sensor.
If the CONTROL
IN jack on the rear panel is connected
to
another
component,
point the remote
control
unit at the
remote control sensor of that component.
It is not possible
to operate the player if the remote control unit is pointed at
the player. (Refer to page 8.)
